Summer Memories

JoJo Gnome’s Gallery

Tidying up the other day I came across the fantastic bunting that some local primary 1 children from Strathblane had made me, for my JoJo Gnome & the Common Elf Games outside workshops in June. When I turned up to do a workshop with soggy bunting, they got on the case and came up with wonderful laminated decorations with JoJo Gnome images. These are now in the gallery, I love getting pictures of JoJo Gnome and post them to the Gallery when I can. I am particularly fond on the one an 18 month old fan drew. Check out the games which the Primary 1’s took part in (paper plane game & obstacle course) …great fun!

Also storytelling including the story JoJo Gnome and the Smell of Christmas (available to download as an ebook). The workshops are on offer in Scotland and some dates  are still available. Now would be a good time to print off the free pictures and make the JoJo Gnome Advent Calendar. It won’t be long till the count down starts so get ahead and create your own Christmas keepsake.

School & Nursery Workshops

Nursery News – Workshops

jojognome@gmail.com

I have been doing workshops in Scottish nurseries and at events for sometime now, so I thought it was time to add a workshop page to let you know what kind of things I get up to. The core of the workshop is always storytelling, sharing my stories and of course making new stories with the children. After that it just depends what we are looking at on the day, so it can be poetry, animation, working with puppets, listening and making sounds and a whole host of other activities.  I can work with a smaller group of children or engage with lots of young people during the school day. It’s always a bit different and lots of fun. I love workshops because they lift my stories off iPads, ebooks or the page and lets them loose amongst the children.

This December it will be all about enjoying the holiday season through sight, sound, touch and of course smell. The book the workshop is based on is JoJo Gnome and the Smell of Christmas. There are still a few December dates available in Scotland… so please feel free to get in touch for more details and prices jojognome@gmail.com

Christmas Cats

In preparation for the Christmas Workshops I have been getting out the JoJo Christmas quilt and making some new cardboard Christmas cats which feature in some new seasonal poems. So was out with the paints and the glue gun! I will share more nearer Christmas.
