Growing Fun!

School Visits

I’ve had a lot of fun recently out on the road with Sow & Grow with JoJo Gnome doing school visits. I had a great time at Craigholme Nursery where the children made a couple of short JoJo Gnome animations with me. They also showed me their fantastic Yurt which was made from felted wool. Lots of the children had contributed panels which made up the final result. Teachers and mums had pitched in too and they now have a fantastic space where they will be able to tell and make up stories …and it should be waterproof. Have a look at the children’s film and some of their felt panels. Happy days!

It was time to get a bit messy in the P1 classroom at Strathblane Primary school, when we did a couple of JoJo’s planting projects. First we planted crazy sunflower hats. Then tried our hand at recycling old tights to make some grassy bugs and funny faces. We had a great gardening fun time. There will be a page on how to try out these projects coming soon.

Stories & Sunflowers this summer

JoJo Gnome will be on the road this summer and I will be doing a couple of storytelling sessions in libraries around sunny St Andrews. I will be sharing stories and doing some planting … more details when I have them.
