Blackfriars Primary (Glasgow)
“I was very impressed with the workshop. There was so much variety, colour, interaction and fun. Jo is a great presenter and really knows how to engage the children in the ideas.”
Lennox Primary (Alexandria)
“They loved interacting with Jo and taking part in the activities with her. She has a wonderful way with the children, children who wouldn’t always engage in group activities, engaged from the get go.“
We have some fantastic JoJo Gnome Story workshops to offer this year, in your primary school or nursery. The workshops are designed to be interactive and child centred. The workshops give pupils the chance to be creative, as well as engage with the topics and stories. The workshops have been designed so the learning experience keeps going after the workshop has finished.
Workshop Information
The workshops are designed for 25 children in a session, so that the sessions can be as interactive as possible. The workshop lasts around 45 minutes. They can be delivered in a classroom or a larger area, access to a whiteboard or projector is needed. The sessions can be delivered in one morning session, two morning sessions or a whole day. Please contact Jo Hall for current prices. The prices for 2025 are currently held at 2024 rates.
These STEM & Story workshops for early years, map to the Early Level of the Curriculum for Excellence. Areas covered include Technology, Literacy (listening & talking), Science (forces and waves/ materials/ topical science), and Expressive Arts. There is also the opportunity for some of the children to take part in a future JoJo Gnome Story Podcast (audio & drawings).
ASN schools
Jo can deliver story workshops to ASN schools. They work best on the themes of emotions and sound. Jo is happy to discuss and adapt the content of the workshop to work best with your children. The size of these workshops is usually smaller.
Please get in touch for more detailed information about the content of each workshop.

St Columba’s Primary (Cupar)
“They loved it all. They particularly enjoyed the Jojo puppet and dancing with the different hats. Lovely to see the end result so quickly too! It was great watching Jo draw JoJo on the ipad.
Isobel Mair School (Newton Mearns)- ASN
“It was great and I particularly admired how quickly you engaged a very diverse group of learners and seemed to have perfectly planned something for everyone to feel they had a valuable role to play.”
Castlehill Primary (Cupar)
“They enjoyed active element of the workshop. They really enjoyed the drama and dance that was involved in the creation of the story. The use of JoJo Gnome is genius! Our wee people were still talking about the character weeks later. They even stood up at assembly and told the rest of the school about their experience.”
Easdale Primary
“The story and interactive discussion around emotions was great and the children were really engaged. They particularly loved the dancing and P1-3 also loved drawing JoJo afterwards.”
“I have had the pleasure of doing several workshops with Jo. Her workshops are exciting and engaging and I am always blown away by how much she achieves in such a short period of time.” (Rachel Allen Primary Teacher, Strathblane, Scotland)
“Thank you to JoJo Gnome for an inspirational week of digital literacy exploration. Through social media we were captivated into a world of imagination and adventure. The pinnacle was when JoJo Gnome & the Sound Machine came to nursery for the day to finish our stories and make movies together. Haste ye back! “(Kate O’Neill, Head of Cornton Nursery, Stirling, Scotland)
“One of the best things I’ve seen in school in a long time!” St Benedict’s Primary, Glasgow.
